Have an ORV story?
We're seeking stories and comments about Off-Road-Vehicles (ORVs) in Vermont. PRT is looking for:
- Personal stories about interactions with ORVs, especially snowmobiles and ATVs.
- Personal stories about interactions with VAST (Vermont Association of Snow Travelers) and/or VASA (Vermont ATV Sportsmen's Association); with the parent organizations, with local clubs, and/or with individual members.
- Information about ORV activity in your area.
- Concerns you may have about trails that already exist in your area or trails that are being developed (such as the Lamoille Valley Rail Road corridor)
Our purpose in collecting these stories is to create a dossier of factual, verifiable anecdotes that we can use to show how ORV use impacts citizens of Vermont, and to show how the ORV organizations and their members relate to landowners and other road and trail users.
Send them to our e-mail address (info@prtvt.org) or send a written copy
to: PRT-VT, PO Box 103, East Hardwick, VT 05836.
If you do not want to share your name, please include your initials and town in your correspondence and also let us know if we may share these stories with state officials as we work with them in pursuing our goal of keeping ORVs off public land, roads and trails.
